Next, compile testComplex.c to an object file:

gcc -c -o testComplex.o testComplex.c

Notice again, that testComplex.o is not an executable file (even though it has a main() function). But it hasn’t been linked together with our library yet and thus can’t execute any library functions.

Try these commands yourself in a Linux terminal. Use the complexlib.c, complexlib.h, and testComplex.c files shown earlier in this chapter, saved together in one folder.
